    Book Description

No Indian player has captured the imagination of cricket-lovers in the way that Yuvraj Singh has over the past decade. Fiery batsman, deceptive bowler, flat-out fielder, Yuvraj has been in the news for his remarkable skills with bat and ball, his glamorous lifestyle off the ground and, more recently, for his courageous battle against a life-threatening illness. In this first-ever account of its kind, veteran cricket administrator and coach Makarand Waingankar, who has known Yuvraj practically since the day he was born, recalls the rise of the young cricketer, his early years, the tremendous highs and depressing lows in his tumultuous career. With inputs from Yuvraj's parents, his friends, peers and senior players, and written with a rare insight and affection for his subject, this is an eminently readable account of a young cricketer's life, from the earliest days to his triumphant crowning as the World Cup champion in 2011.

Considering Yuvraj's recent form, this book won't find many takers!

Just got to know that Yebhi silently entered book-selling business. News surfaced around 7-8 months ago, but not publicised when they started.

    :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Don't forget he was Man of the Series in world cup  He is good all rounder but Dhoni is not allowing him to bowl :X3: .. It's evident now that Dhoni don't want to see him in playing XI else he is 100 times better then so called Sir Jadeja

But Dhoni is not stopping him from scoring some runs. Just 2 good scores in 10 innings.
And Jadeja? Chief architect of Champions Trophy Win
    Highest wicket taker this season
    Best ranked all rounder

I think at the moment Yuvraj is low in confidence...else at time he is the best batsman in the world...remember those 6 sixes... India won the T20 world cup and the Fifty over world cup because of Yuvraj...

But past performance can't ensure permanent place in present, otherwise Sehwag couldn't ever be dropped from Test team.

Yes...Based on current performances he might not have got a place for SA tour But considering that he is a match winner he got it...I think Gambhir should have been given a chance...

Gambhir can be considered for Tests, but not currently suitable for ODI team.

Yes...because other batsmen are performing very well....but India's bowling attack is very poor....
Shami was bowling well...but he too was hit for 41 runs in last 3 overs...

Those last 6 overs made the difference, but BCCI is also a culprit because they didn't ensure even a single warm up match before the actual series started.

Absolutely right...They should have fixed one or two practice matches...Indian's could have got some exposure to the bounce of the pitches...Morne Morkel's bounce was too high for the batsman to tackle....Rohit Sharma was struggling...but I thought Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma gifted there wickets because target was too high that everyone was needed to contribute...

Recently India has lost very few matches, but when the openers and Kohli fail together, defeat is guaranteed. Dhoni alone can't do much if no one is supporting.

India is winning matches because of top 3 and ms dhoni...they chased scores of 350+ against australia because they got 150+ opening partnerships...suresh raina is also not doing much...Yuvraj is criticized but not raina...and also raina is put into A group...

    Raina, Jadeja, Aswin....all CSK..:)
Ashwin sometime performes well...sometime doesn't but never dropped...mishra never got any chance...only one chance vs australia in which he failed but in that match also 3 spinners were played...
spinners are not going to work in SA...but what is your team composition for next game...

Now Mohit Sharma too :D So 5 out of 11.
Ashwin scored runs in those matches to retain his place.

Spinners can make difference in SA too, claim supported by stats of SA-Pak series.

Pakistan's bowling attack is too high compared to India...they restricted SA to 200....If Pakistan scores 230+..they are 70% sure that they will win...

Pak bowling attack better, but their spinners performed better than fast bowlers

Maybe India can too have a fortune reversal after thrashing in 1st game as happened in case of Pak :D
