Credit System Update:- Max Thread Credit Limit/Day & Credits for Shopclues Deal

On the feedback received from our users, we have done some modifications in our credit system. Please see below for the updated credit system:-

• Thread credits per day max cap is reduced to 15. However user can earn unlimited credits in a day towards A deal home page promotion. This is done to reduce spam in the forum and not because we are facing any loss as organization. We as a forum are doing pretty good and extra credits saved because of this will be distributed among our users through various contests and on the spot rewards & recognition.
• Most of our users have very bad experience with Shopclues store, so we want to discourage the posting of this particular store. For the same reason, shopclues deal will not carry any thread credits now onwards. However if shopclues deal gets promoted to homepage then user will earn applicable credits. Currently it is 5 for A deal & 20 for A+ deal.
• We also noticed that few members pick just one store and keep posting the deals of that store without any price comparison and other details. We will merge such kind of deals which are worthless (Copied from somewhere else or single store posting without any details or price comparison). We want to improve the quality of deals posted on this forum.

As mentioned above, these steps are taken only to reduce the spam and to improve browsing experience. We do agree that it will result in few bucks saving for us and that amount will be used in enhancing user experience. We will soon start a system where we will keep giving credit rewards to users for their contribution towards the forum growth.
